The ISOLITE VW T5 Cab Set from BRANDRUP insulates and tints the three windows in the front of the vehicle. It was developed specifically for the VW T5 with passenger car trim and consists of custom-fit mats for the windshield as well as the driver’s and passenger’s windows. This three-piece interior insulation set protects the living and sleeping areas from unwanted views and external temperature fluctuations in every season.

In the summer, ISOLITE® reflects incoming solar heat outward. At the same time, the inner reflective film helps keep the cooler air inside the vehicle longer. In winter, the principle works in reverse: the cold is reflected outward, while the heat is radiated back into the passenger compartment. BRANDRUP refers to this mechanism as the “thermos effect.”

The mats for the driver’s and passenger’s windows aren’t just hung loosely on the windows. They can be attached to the respective window frames with Velcro fasteners and are sealed on three sides by the door seals when the doors are closed. This creates an insulating air cushion between the windowpane and the ISOLITE®.

The trapped air can barely circulate and cannot escape freely upward or downward. This creates an effect that BRANDRUP compares to double-pane glass. The precision-fit mounting does not require suction cups, which could come loose or leave visible marks on the glass.

The windshield mat is inserted into the windshield frame. It is secured with Velcro in the upper black section of the windshield and on the rearview mirror. All three components can be quickly attached and just as easily removed as needed.

In addition to its thermal benefits, the ISOLITE VW T5 Cab Kit completely blocks out light in the front of the vehicle. No one can see into the cab from the outside. This provides more privacy when spending the night, changing clothes, or relaxing in the vehicle.

After use, the flat mats can be stowed away to save space. In vehicles with a pop-up roof, for example, they can be laid out on the upper bed. This makes ISOLITE® Inside a practical solution for everyday use on camping trips, weekend getaways, and longer stays.

Key product features:

ISOLITE VW T5 Cab with Insulating Air Cushion
