The AIR-SAFE SMART VW Transporter from BRANDRUP allows for ventilation through the tailgate while still keeping the vehicle locked. The tailgate prop holds the tailgate open about 15 centimeters, creating an additional opening for air circulation. This model is designed for the VW Transporter—developed in collaboration with Ford Transit—that features a tailgate.

Flexible ventilation is especially helpful when camping and during longer stays in the vehicle. Outside air can enter the interior through the open rear area. This way, AIR-SAFE® SMART complements the existing ventilation options and helps create a more comfortable interior climate during your breaks at the campsite.

This feature combines a defined opening gap with the ability to lock the vehicle. The tailgate does not need to remain fully open to do this. The gap of about 15 centimeters allows for ventilation at the rear of the vehicle and can be used, for example, while relaxing in front of the camper or while inside the vehicle.

According to BRANDRUP, it’s quick and easy to set up. This makes the stand ideal for a variety of situations during your travels: after arriving at a campground, during a break, or as you wind down a warm day. The additional ventilation opening can be especially handy if you use the rear of your vehicle as a living or sleeping area.

To allow air to circulate through the vehicle, the rear opening can be combined with another suitable ventilation option. The extent to which air actually circulates depends, among other things, on wind, outside temperature, and the other open ventilation openings.

When making your selection, the exact vehicle model is crucial.
